Terms of use

Draft under legal review. The final version is published before launch.
1. Who we are
AqarTrust is a platform that helps owners of instalment property contracts in Egypt transfer their contract to a new buyer for exactly what they have paid. It is operated by [company legal name], commercial register no. [commercial register number], [address].
2. The zero-overprice rule
On a contract transfer, the cash asked never exceeds what the owner has actually paid the developer. The system rejects any such listing above that, and any side agreement to pay more outside the platform breaches these terms and closes the account.
3. Our fee
The buyer pays 1.25% of the cash amount when the transfer completes. The seller pays no commission. The developer's own transfer fee is separate; we show it where we have confirmed it, and the parties agree who pays it.
4. What an owner confirms
That they hold the contract or are authorised by whoever does, that the figures and documents they upload are true and complete, and that the unit is not being sold to someone else in a way that would prevent the transfer. Listings with false figures or a false owner are removed.
5. What verification means
The "Documents verified" badge means our team reviewed the uploaded contract and receipts and matched them to the figures shown. It is not a legal guarantee of the contract or the unit, and it does not replace a lawyer's review or the developer's consent.
6. Prices and indices
The price check, the market index and the calculators are guides built on limited data, and each shows its sample size. They are not a property valuation and not investment advice.
7. The transfer itself
The transfer happens at the developer, with its consent and on its terms. If the developer refuses or changes its terms, the deal can be cancelled and the unit returns to the market. We track the steps with both parties under "My transfers", but the developer's decision is not ours.
8. Not allowed
Listing a unit that is not yours, undisclosed brokering, putting phone numbers or links in listing text to route around the platform, duplicate listings, and trying to reach other users' data. Any of these closes the account.
9. Liability
The service is provided as is. To the extent Egyptian law allows, our liability for any loss is limited to the fee you paid us on the deal concerned.
10. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by Egyptian law, and disputes go to the competent courts of Cairo.
11. Changes
If we change these terms we tell you in your account at least 14 days before the change applies.
